Parking, despite being free, can be limited during peak hours, necessitating some foresight in planning your arrival. Additionally, the casual vibe, while delightful for most, might not appeal to those seeking an upscale dining experience.
Had the full Sunday roast, and it couldn't have been any better. Huge portions! I had the 'medley' version of the roast, which included beef, chicken and gammon, along with several large and beautifully cooked Yorkshire Puddings. Perfect!
Just had an excellent steak and ale pie in this surprisingly great find. The pie was , indeed, a pie and not a stew with a lid. It was well seasoned with a crusty pastry. The rest of the group, 2 steaks and a salmon of the specials menu. Not a negative word from anyone in our group of 4. It’s worth the short detour off the A68 for those passing.
Our first visit to The Moss. It was our son's birthday and we'd heard about the steaks. We weren't disappointed. The food was wonderful - generous portions, reasonable prices and the steaks were outstanding! We'll certainly be back! Friendly, helpful staff and a nice atmosphere. We'll certainly be back!
Possibly one of the best ever Sunday lunch I've ever had, huge portion size , gorgeous meat selection fresh veg and beaut homemade Yorkshire puddings. We were late to our table booking and at end of service but all the staff were so friendly and welcoming and bonus was they allow dogs. Thanks guys
Sunday lunch for 4 absolutely the best we’ve had for a very long time! Meats were mouthwatering, vegetables cooked beautifully and staff very attentive despite being very busy! Would definitely recommend! We’ll be back for the main menu soon!
The best Sunday lunch I’ve ever eaten! A really good quality meal for a brilliant price. The waitresses were all extremely friendly and helpful too!
What a beautiful place for Sunday lunch! Ya have to book well in advance but will say the beef was the best I've had. Wish there were different veg just bc I'm picky and didn't eat what was there. I prefer broccoli, corn and green beans ;-) Either way it was amazing and well priced.
